Storms

I live in Iowa and for the past month we have been experiencing a lot of storms.  I was driving home from class tonight and all around me was constant lightning.  Huge bolts of lightning all around me.  It was fantastic.  I so wanted to get a picture of it...but I was unable.  For safety reasons, I was not about to dig out my camera while talking on the phone and driving on the freeway with 3 lanes of traffic while watching lightning.  Sorry... maybe next time.  But, all these lightning storms and storms in general reminded me of my 2 week Alaskan cruise.  Why did it remind me of my 2 week Alaskan cruise?  Well, after the cruise, we went to visit family in Canada.  While in Canada, we were watching many storms.  I took out my Nikon camera and turned on this feature where it shot picture after picture after picture until I took my finger off the button.  I was then able to get lightning shots.  These shots were not easy to get, and I did not get the best ones, as most people in our family were trying to get the same shots.  But, I just wanted to share one of my better ones with you and also just say that storms are so fun to watch.  They are so forceful and that, to me, makes them totally amazing.  So, here is the picture.

So, do you have any awesome storm stories?  Me, not so much...never been in a tornado, just a bunch of lightning and thunder storms with lots of rain and a lot of wind.  Let me know in the comments if you enjoy storms and the like.  Take care.
